Explosive action and martial arts mark the first trailer of Shan-Chi and the legend of the ten rings

It's time for a new chapter from the Marvel movie universe

This September, the premiere of the next chapter in the expansion of the extremely popular and successful cinema universe of Marvel – Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings. The epic film, which offers explosive action and impressive martial arts, presents for the first time on the big screen the superhero Shang-Chi, known to fans as the Master of Kung Fu.

The first part of the young Shang-Chi's life path goes through hard training aimed at & nbsp; turned into a skilled assassin, under the strict tutelage of his father –the mighty shadowy Venu.. When Shang-Chi learned of his father's criminal activities, he dropped out of school and fled to America, where he tried to build a relatively normal life. Years later, however, his past catches up with him & nbsp; and he finds himself once again drawn into Wen's sinister world.

The role of Shang-Chi is played by the Canadian actor of Chinese origin Simu Leo, who shares that the most exciting thing about his incarnation as the Master of Kung Fu is that so far the story of the character has never been told on the big screen. Leo adds: „We know so much about Batman's origins, how his parents were killed when he was young . We know of Peter Parker being bitten by a radioactive spider and losing his uncle. It can be said that the story of Shang-Chi is unknown to much of the world, so we had a lot of creative freedom to tell it as we wished.

At the heart of Shang-Chi's arch in the comics is family drama. It is also a starting point for Destiny director Daniel Creton, who, at a very early stage in the preparation of Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings, it is based on the themes of a broken family and how a violent family environment affects a child. And the expression of these themes is the complex relationship between Shang-Chi and his father Wenu.

Venu is a new character created specifically for the Marvel movie universe, who has ties to the terrorist organization Ten Rings , first mentioned in Iron Man. Over the years, Venu has been known by many names, including the Mandarin – one of the most iconic villains in Marvel comics, whose existence was hinted at in Iron Man 3 , where we see a fake version of it played by the fraudulent actor Trevor Slater (Ben Kingsley).

The role of Wenu is played by the legendary Hong Kong actor Tony Leung ( In the Mood for Love , Hell , Hero ), who gives the character extra depth and character, turning him into an antagonist capable of empathy and love. Producer Jonathan Schwartz says: & bdquo; When people hear Mandarin, they expect something very specific, but in the end they may not get it. We hope that they will see a much more complex and nuanced version of the image, different from what the name suggests.“

An important part of the essence of the hero Shang-Chi are martial arts. He is a master of several fighting techniques and for their visual reproduction on screen, Destin Daniel Creton draws inspiration from many sources & ndash; from the elegant, almost ethereal style of Tiger and Dragon , to the more kinetic choreography of Jackie Chan's action comedies. Cascade Coordinator Brad Allen ( Kingsman: Secret Services ) takes on the role of the complex battle scenes in Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings . and the end result, according to Jonathan Schwartz, is: & bdquo; The best action Marvel has ever done. Behind every blow, behind every fighting style makes sense & ndash; visually the story is told in a great way.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is directed by Destin Daniel Creton  (Short Term 12, Just Mercy), who co-wrote the screenplay with David Callahan and Andrew Lenham. Produced by Kevin Feigy and Jonathan Schwartz. In addition to Simu Lou and Tony Leung, the cast includes Aquafina, Michelle Yeo, Fala Chen, Menen Jean, Florian Munteanu and Ronnie Chen.

We enter the battle with Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings in September, only in theaters.
